Copyright and Content Reports

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Linkwards customers publish their own content on their Pages. We respect intellectual property and the rights of others, and we expect our customers to do the same. This page explains how to tell us about content that infringes your rights or breaks the law, and how we deal with reports. It supports our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Reporting a Page quickly

Every public Page has a “Report a violation on this page” link at the bottom. It opens an email to support@linkwards.com. Please include the address of the Page (for example, linkwards.com/username) and a clear description of the problem.

2. Copyright and other intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on a Page infringes your copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights, email support@linkwards.com with the subject line “Copyright notice” and include:

  • your full name, your contact details, and, if you act for someone else, who you represent and your authority to do so;
  • a description of the work or mark you say is infringed, and evidence that you own it or are authorised to act (for example a registration number or a link to the original);
  • the exact web address(es) of the Page and the specific content on it that you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where that applies in your country, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

Notices that are incomplete, vague or abusive may be rejected. Knowingly making a false claim can have legal consequences, including liability for damages.

3. Other legal and content complaints

You can also report content that you believe is unlawful (for example, defamatory, a breach of privacy, a scam or impersonation) or breaches our Acceptable Use Policy. Tell us what the content is, where it is, why it is a problem, and how we can reach you. For urgent safety concerns, contact your local emergency services or police first. If you believe a child is being harmed, please also report it to the relevant authorities.

4. What we do after a report

  • We review the report and may contact you for more information.
  • If we believe the content is unlawful, infringing or in breach of our policies, we may remove or disable it, or unpublish or suspend the Page.
  • We may tell the customer who published the content that we received a complaint, and share the complaint with them (including your name and contact details, unless you ask us not to and the law allows it) so that they can respond.
  • We may act without notice where the risk of harm is high or the law requires it.
  • We may take no action where a report is incomplete, not substantiated, or relates to content that is lawful and permitted.
  • We do not decide ownership disputes between third parties. Where the matter is genuinely contested, we may leave it to the parties, a court or another authority to resolve.

5. Counter-notice

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, email support@linkwards.com with the subject “Counter-notice” and include: your name and account email; the content and where it was before it was removed; a statement that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, or that you have permission or another legal right to use it; your consent to us passing your details to the complainant; and your signature. We may restore the content if the complainant does not take further steps (such as starting legal proceedings) within a reasonable period, typically 10 to 14 business days, or if we otherwise conclude that restoring it is appropriate.

6. Repeat infringers

We may suspend or terminate the accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe the rights of others, or who we reasonably believe are doing so, without refund.

7. Government and law enforcement requests

We respond to valid legal requests, such as court orders, subpoenas and requests from authorities, according to applicable law. Where permitted, we may tell the affected customer before we disclose their information. Requests should be sent to support@linkwards.com and should identify the authority, the legal basis for the request and the information sought.

8. Our own content

The Linkwards name, logo, design and software are owned by us. If you believe someone is using them without permission, please let us know at the same address.
